Withdrawal symptoms

Just finished watching the last episode of Smile, You. It's such a lovely drama and I love happy endings. The 2 main leads Jung Kyung Ho and Lee Min Jung make such a great couple together! U can feel the love and passion throughout the whole drama. Both of them are so adorable!! Love them to bits!

Smile, You

a fren introduced a korean drama to me lately. i'm hopelessly addicted to it now. just to let you know, i'm not a person who enjoys korean dramas coz i find them draggy and forever crying. it's very boring and the storylines are predictable. However, Smile, You is a totally different story.

Smile, You is a romantic comedy and the characters in the drama are so natural and hilarious. there're bound to be moments of sadness but the sugar overload of sweetness between the 2 main leads is enough to keep me motivated to continue watching. the rest of the characters in the drama are also quite funny in their own ways.

I'm surprised I became soo crazy over this korean drama. I even downloaded their OST, looked for wallpapers/pictures, change my phone's ringtone to the theme song, changed my phone's wallpaper to the 2 main leads...I miss the 2 main leads every moment of my day. I can't wait to go home each day to watch the drama online. fortunately that fren of mine transferred the eps to me in her portable HD so it cuts down on my loading time.

the female lead - lee min jung is really pretty and has a very natural smile. she looks good against the male lead - jung kyung ho. they make such a good pair together! oh...the sweetness of their love!

while adding these pictures to my blog, i realised how easy it is to do it with blogger now. i guess blogging has taken off and they're also trying to make it userfrenly for anyone. last time i had to post my photos to photobucket or some online photo hosting site before i can link them to my blog. now it seems i can upload directly from my desktop. cool!

anyway, do try to catch that show. the website is http://www.viikii.net/channels/goto/smileyou you won't regret it! :)

CNY - Yr of the Tiger

CNY is fast approaching this coming weekend (happens to coincide with Valentine's Day this yr). However, I don't feel any excitment during this period. Somehow the mood isn't really there. This yr, I've got 2 Tigers at home. Would prob plan for a family trip overseas to celebrate them being 60. (gosh!)

Took the chance to clear my desk / cabinets in the office. Now it looks so much neater and at least I feel more motivated to work. haahaa...hopefully I can maintain the cleanliness thruout the yr. Last month, a restructure was announced by AA. I'm affected as I've got a new boss and my previous boss has been posted to handle some other stuff in other brands. There're also changes in the aftersales depts. I guess the only thing constant is change.

Finally bought my Sigma 30mm F1.4. Took me a damn long time to save for this gem! Gonna make good use of it during the CNY visiting. My lens are completed, now for accessories such as a light tent and a hotshoe lighting kit. The BBB (buy buy buy) virus has hit me...time to start saving all over again.

Eastern Europe here I come!

flying off to eastern europe on my 13D11N tour (by ASA) later this evening. feeling kinda excited about this trip. it would be my first time going for a winter holiday. however, this trip cost a big bomb in my pocket even before I took off!

had to get alot of winter clothes as there aren't many in the house. thankfully for the arrival of uniqlo, i bought most of my winter tops from there. the prices are reasonable and the material is good. had to purchase some stuff for my camera as well, including a new cam bag and a spare cam batt.

feeling a little stressed to get good shots since it's my first time bringing my d90 so far away. hopefully it won't conk out on me due to the low temp. alot of things to take note of when bringing dslr in winter. headache!

prior to the trip, i took a flu jab on the recommendation of the tour guide during the briefing. honestly i felt that it had weakened my immnunity. i caught a flu over the last weekend! wat a bad timing rite?? now it's turning into a cough and i'm afraid i would bother pple on the long flight. think i better go pack some cough mixture along.

yesterday, the tour guide called us to remind us about check in time and the weather. seems like it's rather windy (though no rain no snow so far). the day temp would drop to around 1-2 degrees by the time we get to poland (which is this coming weekend). made a last min decision to rush down to the new uniqlo megastore at 313 somerset in a bid to grab the down feather jacket. thankfully there was still sizes available and in the colour i wanted.

so i'm almost all packed up and ready to go. gonna hv my dinner soon and i'll change into my clothes. hope it's gonna be a nice and smooth sailing trip!

10 months later

someone recently reminded me that i've not updated my blog for the longest time. when i logged in, i was surprised that i didn't touch this blog for 10months! gosh, it has been a very long time indeed. i guess i've stopped ranting about life and work. well, that's supposed to be something good rite?

honestly this yr seems to fly by very quickly. it's also the year which i turn 30! yes, i know, the big 3 0! sounds soooo old!!! in view of this, i've finally bought myself a dslr which i've been saving a long long time for. (it's actually an excuse to buy an expensive gadget, hiak hiak) got my nikon d90 with 18-105mm kit lens in may. loving it more and more each day.

must admit that it's not easy to get used to the dslr initially. in fact till now, i've not fully utilised every single button and feature on the camera. there's just too many things to learn. since may, i've added an ultra wide angle lens (tokina 11-16mm) and a speedlight SB900 to my collection. it's the BBB virus! now saving for my prime lens sigma 30mm f1.4 and my whole collection would be complete. yeah!!

lately been busy with lotsa activities happening. this yr has been very very bad for my company due to the poor economy and the strong yen. it's killing all of the japanese car brands including honda and toyota. the car sales went to kia who recently launched the all new kia cerato forte and koup. good for them but bad for us. :( just hope that things will start to pick up in 2010, else we're really dead meat.

am so looking forward to my eastern europe trip with my uni frens in dec. it's hard to arrange to go on a tour together esp with our different schedules. it's gonna be freezing cold and hopefully i wont turn into a frozen block on ice.

2 more months till end of the year, lets hope for the best! will try my best to update stuff soon. somehow still too lazy to post photos in my blog, perhaps that would make things more lively. hahahaa!

all messed up

had to terminate someone today. felt really really bad to ask someone to go. she has a young daughter here and she's a foreigner. terminating today means she has to leave the country within 7 days. it's painful but as the saying goes, "short pain is better than prolonged pain".

her communication skills somehow hasn't improved alot as in i often hear negative feedback on her customer service skills from all aspects (ie. customers, sales pple, management team). really had to let her go even though i'm short of manpower.

i feel so bad being the evil one. bo bian... wish her all the best.

new year, new start

hey hey welcome to 2009! (i'm a little late but better late than never). as you can prob tell, i'm getting very lazy to blog. either 1) nothing really exciting happens or 2) i rather use the time spent on the internet for other stuff (such as fixing my gundam or playing my nintendo).

it's the big 30 this year for me and i'm kinda fearful to step into this stage of life. u r considered old and supposedly financially stable. in 5 yrs time i can even buy a HDB! gosh!!! that's a scary tot indeed.

due to the unfortunate economic recession, a number of stuff on my shopping list went onto my wishlist (such as my nikon d90). well, gotta be prudent. someone once told me that at any one time, my bank account should hv at least 6 months salary of reserves. hmmm......

in any case, i've made some new year resolutions which i won't be listing down here. will keep them in mind and hopefully they really happen by the end of the year. if they do, i would be happy that i've accomplished these stuff. haha!!
